I was raised in Maitland, Florida, and have lived in the Sunshine State all my life.  I studied Elementary Education at Southeastern University, in Lakeland.  I moved to Gainesville after graduating, where I began to pursue my teaching career.  My wonderful husband, Erik, and I are currently loving our second year of marriage.
 
I am a musician, and I play the violin.  I enjoy incorporating music into the curriculum.
